Day 2 was a lot of driving. We left Des Moines after a good 8 hours of sleep and a nice breakfast to go down to Norman, OK. Partially we decided to go this far to be in a better spot for Day #3's main chase, but we also forecasted some storms passing through Norman, so we thought it would be a good chance to practice before the real deal the next day. Here are some photos from the road trip, including a photo of our van with our CB and Amateur Radio antennas on top.
The last ~hour before we arrived in Norman, we saw some really beautiful storms. Lots of lightning and some very well defined cloud features. We stopped about 15 minutes from our hotel to try and watch the storms a little, and I took out my camera.

We stayed here for a little bit, then decided that we had missed much of the best cloud formation, and went to the hotel to sleep for the night.
